Our Sunday school remains as the primary part of the church, which provides a peer
environment for children to study the Bible. The mission of the Sunday school is to
develop our children, an understanding of the Bible and to provide a strong foundation
for Christian Living, which leads them to a personal commitment to follow Jesus. Sunday
school helps our children to worship our Lord through singing and praying.
With Blessing of our Achen, we commenced the activities of the Sunday school on the
16th January 2005. There are currently 7 children who attend Sunday school, aged from 1 to 5.
Classes are held on Sunday from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM. The women of the church take turns in
teaching the children stories from the bible. Since most of our students are really young,
we try to keep the lessons very simple but effective. We are following the same order of
teaching as the Madhya Kerala Diocese.
The future activities of the Sunday school include
further study of the bible and get the children more involved in the Service. Mrs. Alia Stephen
is planning on getting the children ready for some serious Caroling by Christmas!
