Since the mid 70’s, there has been a significant influx of Christians from South India into the
United States of America. Finding us in the midst of great diversity with differences in language,
culture and lifestyle. We, the Christians who follow the time tested faith and practices of the
Church of South India, felt a growing need to be culturally and religiously bound together by the
liturgical and ecclesiastical practices of the Church of South India. It is our vision that
St. Peter’s CSI Church will cater to the spiritual needs of its members by providing a platform
for orderly practice of the faith.
We, the baptized members of the Church of South India, that do confide in the one foundation of
the Church the body of Jesus Christ the Lord in whom the Word became flesh and to whom the
Scriptures bear witness, desiring to unite together to preach the Word, administer the sacraments,
and fulfill the calling to glorify the triune God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
